Bonus Scene-The Purgatory Bar and Grill
The cab slammed to the ground, and the impact was ... Much softer than it should have been. The road softened under the cabs weight, then bounced back, each successive jolt gentler, until the wheels finally grabbed the road and Nyx slid sideways to a halt, with a resounding “SHIT!!!”
Silence filled the cab, as everyone stared at the glittering blacktop before them. Then they all started talking at once. Even Luna was howling and grumbling, before Nyx finally stated firmly, “Out!” She flung open the cab door, the others tumbling out shortly after.
They took a long look around. The world behind was flattened, but green. There were no buildings. The gates stood, a few miles to the left, still glittering in sparks, but also fading... Receding from view.
A large and widening gully stood between them and the gates. A highway sign stood next to the gully. : DETOUR: It read. : OFFRAMP CLOSED:
