I have chased her across many lifetimes. I don’t remember when or how I realized this. It was a gradual awareness. At first, I would recognize her on sight — from some place deeper than my mind. My gut would cry out: This is the one. I would tighten, preparing for the chase, the hunt, the eventual capture. This time, it will happen, I’d think.
Oh, it’s not what you’re thinking...not THAT kind of chase. I thought so too in those early lifetimes, assuming it was simple gut attraction, the old sex appeal.
Gradually, I would recall more. A felon can only elude capture so many times before their habits become obvious. She has certainly caused my death enough times for my Integrity, what you’d call the soul, to become wary of her very presence.
